Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 May 2026

These terms (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by Sageon Ltd (“Sageon”, “we”, “our”), including sageon.co.uk, app.sageon.co.uk (Sageon AI) and pm.sageon.co.uk (Sageon Business). By using our services you agree to these terms.

1. Accounts

You must be 18+ and provide accurate information when signing up. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.

2. Subscriptions and billing

  • Prices are listed inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • See our refund policy for partial-period and dispute handling.
  • Free trials require a payment method; you can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

3. Your content and data

You own the content you create in Sageon (projects, prompts you save, RAID entries, employee records, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content as needed to deliver the service.

For data your organisation processes through Sageon Business about its own employees, customers or third parties, you are the controller and we are the processor. The Data Processing Agreement applies and is incorporated into these terms by reference.

4. Acceptable use

You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In summary, you must not use Sageon to break any law, infringe rights, attack our systems, or abuse Sage AI features.

5. AI features (Sage)

Sageon uses Anthropic's Claude API to power the Sage AI advisor. Outputs are generated and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying any AI output before relying on it for decisions. See our AI usage disclosure.

You retain ownership of your inputs and outputs. We do not train models on your data, and our AI provider commits the same.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. See our service availability page for our target uptime, maintenance windows and how we communicate incidents. We may take Sageon offline briefly for maintenance and will give notice where reasonably possible.

7. Intellectual property

The Sageon software, brand, design and content (excluding your content) are owned by Sageon Ltd. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for the duration of your subscription.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sageon's liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data beyond what our retention policy covers, etc.).

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be excluded by law.

9. Termination

You can cancel any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. We'll usually warn you first unless the breach is serious or repeated. On termination, your data is retained for 90 days for recovery, then permanently deleted.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
